Why keep an open eye on the journey? Because open eyes help us see possiblities. Like the game of “Eye Spy” we can train ourselves to look for the colors and vibrancy of life all around us, but it seems as we get older it is harder to see. Life experience, joys and traumas, deeply held beliefs and values, the way we were raised, the generation we were raised in, emotions, the language we use… can, if we are not careful, create visual blocks that keep us from seeing the beauty that does, infact, sit right in front of us. As the Mary Poppins taught all those years ago, sometimes we just can’t see past the end of our nose and we miss the opportunity to “Feed the Birds.”
To help us see past the end of our nose, this page is dedicated. Come join me in Lutheran Spice exploration of the world and all that is in it.
PS. If ever in need of personal support, I am here to serve. As an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America I am trained and skilled to walk with you in joy and hardship. Don’t hesitate to reach out if ever needed. I can be reached at Lutheranspice@gmail.com
